Hello, my name is Charmaine and I am from Toronto, Canada. I am 23 years old and recently graduated from the Industrial Engineering program (majoring in Infomration Systems) at the University of Toronto. I am a Consultant at Deloitte & Touche and work on special projects for the Competitive Intelligence Team at IBM. In my spare time, I love to surf the net and make websites. I have always been surrounded by animals. I was raised with a Boxer named Bobby who died at the age of 12. Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of having a Maltese just like the one I saw in a dog book I had. I looked at this book all the time and asked my parents for a Maltese but they always told me no. When I turned 20, I took a summer job at Progistix and began making my own money. As soon as I saved enough, I started looking for my Maltese. I was naive and didn't know what to look for but I instantly feel in love with Cookie's picture. In June of 2000, I drove 16 hours to Tennesse and came home with my baby girl. In 2001, Meow Mix came into my life. He was going to be euthanized and I just couldn't let that happen. I have never really liked cats but Meow Mix just looked up at me and I knew he was to be mine. In May of 2002, Nibbler joined Cookie and Meow Mix. Being a Maltese addict, I frequently surfed all Maltese websites. I came across his picture and just knew he would be my next baby. I thank Rhapsody Maltese for entrusting me with this little darling. In early May of 2003, I accidently came across a photo of a little Shih Tzu that was available. Ever since 2001, I have been looking for a Shih Tzu but did not find one that met my requirements. I was overjoyed when I found Waffle. He was everything I wanted in a Shih Tzu. I am grateful for meeting Serenade Shih Tzu who allowed me to have such a perfect little boy.
I have created FurBallz.com for my babies. Cookie used to have a website at cutecookie.com. However, with Nibbler's arrival, it was not suitable anymore. The domain name was changed to mymaltese.com. Now, with Waffle, I needed yet another name. Everything I wanted was taken, so I settled for FurBallz.com. I am not very happy with the domain name nor am I with the current web design but it will do for now. I hope to find some time to improve this site in the near future.
